How do I edit the Memorial Banner Image?
Use Edit Page Settings to pick a new banner, upload a custom image, or reposition the current one.

Refresh a memorial’s banner to match the person you are honoring. You can upload a unique image or choose from several curated sources.
How do I change the theme image on a memorial?
Memorial Keepers can change the theme image in two ways:
- On the memorial page, select Edit theme above the portrait.
- Or select Edit page settings, then open the Theme tab in Memorial Settings.
From the Theme tab, you can upload your own image, choose one from the memorial's Mementos, or pick from the Keeper Library or image search. The preview on the right shows how the banner will look on the memorial page.
How do I crop or reposition the theme image?
On the Theme tab, select the Adjust theme image below the preview. This opens the image editor, where you can:
- Drag inside the selection box to move it to the part of the image you want to show.
- Drag the edges or corners of the selection to resize it.
- Use the rotate buttons to turn the image.
Your changes are automatically displayed in the preview. When you're happy with the selection, select Save Settings to see the changes on the Memorial page.
Can I rotate the theme image?
Yes. In the image editor, use the rotate buttons below the image to turn it left or right.
Why don't I see my changes on the memorial page?
Your changes only appear on the memorial page after you save them. While you're editing, you'll see your changes in the preview automatically. If satisfied, select Save changes to apply your adjustments to the memorial.
What happened to the option to drag the banner up and down on the memorial page?
We've replaced the on-page reposition and change-image controls with a dedicated image editor. This gives you more control over exactly which part of the image is shown, including cropping and rotating. To adjust the banner, select Edit theme above the portrait, then Adjust theme image.
Who can edit the theme image?
Only Memorial Keepers can change or adjust the theme image. Visitors see the saved banner but can't edit it.
How do I keep my theme image looking sharp?
The editor crops within your original image rather than zooming in on it, which helps keep the banner clear. For the best results, start with a high-resolution image, ideally a wide landscape photo, so there's plenty of detail inside the area you select.
