What is the Obituary Assistant?
Keeper’s Obituary Assistant guides you through a series of prompts and generates a personalized biography based on the details you provide.
Who can use it?
- Available on select memorials.
- Keeper Plus members can launch it directly; free memorials will see an upgrade prompt.
How to get started
- Edit the memorial page and choose the Obituary Assistant option.
- A modal opens and walks you through each section—basic information, family, services, achievements, career, personality, and more.
You can choose the obituary format (traditional or life story), tone (formal, heartfelt, lighthearted), and length.
After you click Generate
The assistant creates a draft you can:
- Add directly to the memorial page.
- Regenerate to try a different version or tone.
- Copy and paste elsewhere for additional editing.
- Pin to the top of the biography section.
Editing and flexibility
- You can edit the generated text before publishing.
- Complete as many or as few sections as you like—the assistant works with whatever you provide.
- Adjust the tone or details and regenerate until you’re satisfied.
